It’s been a fabulous week here in Texas preparing for the Austin Winter Music Festival, which has been well underway this week with concerts and recording sessions. After performing Tuesday night on modular, Line Upon Line Percussion will be premiering Important People (Are) From Important Places (2024-2025) on Friday night’s concluding concert alongside new works by Christopher Trapani, Trevor Van de Velde, and James Parker. I’m so excited to have them up in Maine for a residency later this month, where they’ll reprise this piece along with Audiendum Extimate (2017). A few photos from this week’s journey:
